Our Library

The school library is situated on the third floor in room B304, and is staffed by a qualified librarian, Ms Renling, for most of the school day (see opening hours outside). Students can only be in the library if the librarian, a teacher or other staff is with them. In the library you can find fiction, non-fiction, newspapers and magazines, computers a stereo. There are a lot of tables to sit and work at, as well as comfortable armchairs. The same rules apply in the library as in the rest of the school, and it is important to remember that it is a place for quiet studies or reading. The librarian is happy to help you find information or give you suggestions for good books to read! Consider that:

- the computers are only to be used for school work, and you must book them at the librarian´s desk
- the library should be a quiet place for doing school work
- you must put back chairs, and pick up all the things you have used before you leave
- you are not allowed to play games in the library
- do not print out too much
- you can only use the copying machine for school work, for example make copies from Reference Books

Rules

- You have to have the ID/library card with you to be able to borrow books. If you lose the card, you have to pay 30 kr. The students will get your library card from the librarian during a swedish class. When you leave the school, you have to return the card. The library cards will be collected by your mentor to be kept in the school during the summer vacation.

- The borrowing period is 28 days. No summer loans.
- You always have to return borrowed books on time. Please respect that others might want to read the book. Give the book to the librarian. You are responsible for your books until they have been registered as returned.

- You will get reminders via Schoolsoft about delayed books, but you are expected to return books even if you do not get a reminder. If the book is not returned after two reminders, the book is considered lost and you have to compensate for it. The standard sum to pay for a library book is 200kr. An alternative is to buy the book in a book store and give it to the librarian.

- You can do a renewal of your loans if you tell the librarian

- You must read the Reference Books (marked with a red label) in the library. You can not take them out. All students must be able to look in these books during the school day

- If you do not follow the rules, you  might not be allowed to borrow books anymore

Vårt Bibliotek

 
Skolbiblioteket finns på våning 3 i sal B304, och är bemannat av en utbildad bibliotekarie, Ms Renling, i stort sett hela skoldagen (se anslag utanför). Eleverna får bara vara i biblioteket om bibliotekarien, någon lärare eller annan personal är med Här finns tillgång till bl.a. skönlitteratur, facklitteratur, ljudböcker, datorer och stereo samt ett stort antal studieplatser och två sköna fåtöljer. De är viktigt att alla tänker på att biblioteket ska vara en lugn plats förstudier. Bibliotekarien hjälper gärna till med t.ex. informationssökning i böcker och databaser samt ger dig boktips! I biblioteket gäller skolans övriga regler. Tänk på att:

- datorerna är bara till för skolarbete och måste bokas. Bokningslista finns hos bibliotekarien.
- biblioteket ska vara en lugn plats för studier
- ställa tillbaka stolar och plocka undan efter dig när du går
- du inte får spela spel i biblioteket
- spara på papper – printa inte ut i onödan
- kopieringsmaskinen får du använda för skolarbete, t.ex. kopiera sidor ur referensböcker

Låneregler

- Du måste alltid ha sitt ID/lånekort med dig för att kunna låna, borttappat kort ersättes med 30kr. Du får ditt lånekort av bibliotekarien i samband med en svensklektion. Lånekorten ska lämnas tillbaka när du slutar på skolan, och samlas alltid in av mentor för förvaring i skolan över sommarlovet.

- Lånetiden är 28 dagar. Ej sommarlån.
- Lånade böcker ska alltid lämnas tillbaka i tid. Respektera att andra kan vilja låna boken efter dig. Boken lämnas direkt till bibliotekarien.  Du ansvarar för lånen till dess de avregistrerats.

- Du kommer att få påminnelser via Schoolsoft om försenade böcker, men ska lämna tillbaka boken i tid även om det inte kommer någon påminnelse. Om boken inte lämnas tillbaka trots två påminnelser räknas den som borttappad och du blir skyldig att ersätta den. Schablonsumman för ersättning av biblioteksbok är 200 kronor. Ett alternativ är att själv köpa boken och ge till bibliotekarien.

- Du kan låna om en bok om du säger till bibliotekarien

- Referensböcker (märkta med röd klisterlapp ”REF”) ska läsas i biblioteket och får inte tas ut ur
   rummet. Alla ska kunna titta i dessa böcker under skoldagen

- Om du inte följer bibliotekets regler kan du bli avstängd från att låna
