Our library

The library is situated on the upper level and is staffed by a qualified librarian for most of the school day. In it you can find fiction, non-fiction, newspapers and magazines, and computers with internet access. The same rules apply in the library as in the rest of the school, and it is important to remember that it is a place for quiet studies or reading. The librarian is happy to help you find information or give you suggestions for good books to read!

Rules

IESG students, staff and parents are welcome to borrow materials from our school library. Materials have to be checked out from the librarian.

- The loan period is three weeks.
- Materials may be renewed if no one is waiting for them; please ask the librarian.
- Materials marked with a red “REF” sticker are for reference in the library and may not be taken home.
- Return your borrowed materials on time so that others may use them as well.
- Return your materials directly to the librarian or in the book-drop box.
- Take good care of your borrowed library materials, and return them in the same condition as you took them out.
- If you lose or damage a book you will be responsible for paying a replacement cost.
- To use the computers in the library you must book a time with the librarian and check out a computer mouse, which must be returned at the end of your session.
- The computers in the library are to be used for school work only.

Of course, the school rules apply in the library as well. In addition, remember

- that the library is a quiet place for studies or reading
- to push chairs in and clean up when you leave
- that students are only allowed in the library when the librarian or another staff member is there

Vårt bibliotek

Biblioteket ligger på övre planet och är bemannat av utbildad bibliotekarie under större delen av skoldagen. I biblioteket finns skönlitteratur, facklitteratur, dagstidningar och tidskrifter, och datorer med internetuppkoppling. Samma regler gäller i biblioteket som i resten av skolan, och det ör viktigt att komma ihåg att biblioteket ska vara en lugn plats för studier och läsning. Bibliotekarien hjälper gärna till med t.ex. informationssökning samt ger dig boktips!

Regler

Elever, personal och föräldrar vid IESG är välkomna att låna böcker och annat material från vårt skolbibliotek. Allt material ska lånas av bibliotekarien.

- Lånetiden är tre veckor.
- Omlån kan ske om ingen annan står på väntelista; fråga bibliotekarien.
- Material som är märkt med en röd “REF”-etikett är referensmaterial som ej får lånas hem.
- Återlämna alltid biblioteksmaterial i tid så att även andra kan använda det.
- Återlämna biblioteksmaterial direkt till bibliotekarien eller i återlämningsfacket.
- Tag väl hand om ditt lånade biblioteksmaterial och återlämna det i samma skick som du lånade det.
- Om du tappar bort eller skadar biblioteksmaterial blir du skyldig att betala en ersättningskostnad.
- För att använda datorerna i biblioteket måste du boka tid hos bibliotekarien. Där lånar du också en datormus som sedan lämnas tillbaka när du är klar.
- Datorerna i biblioteket är endast till för skolarbete.

Självfallet gäller skolreglerna även i biblioteket. Utöver dessa, kom ihåg

- att biblioteket är en lugn plats för studier och läsning
- att skjuta in stolar och städa upp efter dig när du går
- att elever bara får vara i biblioteket när bibliotekarien eller annan personal är där

Öppettider:

Måndag: 8:45-15:00
Tisdag - fredag: 8:00-15:30

Tiderna är ungefärliga, och ändringar kan förekomma.
