Tough Love
At IES we believe in tough love and character development.
We strive to create a calm working environment where the precepts of discipline and respect are foremost and upheld.
Students and parents sign a written school rules/expectations agreement before they join the school. If the contract is broken, the parents are contacted. We hold our students accountable for their actions. Transgressions and infractions are dealt with swiftly when the need arises. Students learn very quickly that they are rewarded for following the rules and working hard. Rules are for the benefit of the students.
Students learn immediately that school is their place of work and therefore they call teachers by their correct title, Mr. or Ms.
All concerned with the organisation practise good manners. If we receive something we say, "Thank you." If we want something we say, "Please." Students learn to always put up their hands if they want to contribute, ask or speak in the classroom.
IES has a proven and systematic approach to combat bullying, in any shape or form. Perpetrators are dealt with firmly and expeditiously.
