Searching for information
What to think about when you are searching for information
1. Think about what your assignment is. What kind of information do you need to solve the problem?
2. How do you find the answers? Find several different sources – such as books and web sites.
You
can find good information in the general encyclopedias, for example
Nationalencyklopedin, World Book and Bra Böckers Lexikon.
Useful
information can also be found in non-fiction books about your subject.
Please use the online library catalogue to find them!
Databases are relevant sources of information. See a list of the school´s databases.
You can also use link collections and web catalogues on the internet.
Search engines like Google and Yahoo can be good.

4. Organize your information, and use your own words to make a presentation. Use our Reference list guide to write a reference list.
