IEST Junior School inauguration ceremony

Barbara Bergström , founder of Internationella Engelska Skolan and Leif Gripenstam, ordförande i Täby kommunstyrelse,  cut the ribbon and opened the doors of IES Täby Junior school to 224 excited fourth and fifth graders looking forward to meeting their new teachers and getting an excellent education.

IES Täby Operation Awasa 2010

The 3^rd of June all the students in IEST dedicated the day to working for a cause. Together our amazing students raised  88 387 kr. The money will make a huge difference in the lives of thirteen orphans who will not only have their basic needs covered; but will also have the chance to have an education.

A while ago Jonny and Mattias from the TV show Room Service traveled to Africa to build a school, they had a lot of difficulties and ended up building an orphanage, not a big one but a functioning one where thirteen children live at the moment. The TV team created an organization, Barnhemmet, and they are still working to help these kids and so is Internationella Engelska Skolan i Täby!
